Physiotherapists are first line practioners, meaning that you do not have to be referred by a doctor in order to be seen by them. They have the knowledge and skills to evaluate a persons condition and treat accordingly to their findings as well as to determine whether further testing or referral to a specialist is needed. They are able to improve a range of conditions such as:

  • Neurological (stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s)
  • Neuromusculoskeletal (back pain, whiplash associated disorder, sports injuries, arthritis)
  • Cardiovascular (chronic heart disease, rehabilitation after heart attack)
  • Respiratory (asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cystic fibrosis).
